Windy Peak is in the Rainbow Mountain Wilderness Area and has a beautiful red sandstone peak. It sits above the Cottonwood Valley at the southern end of Red Rock Canyon and has great views of Mount Potosi, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and the Las Vegas Valley.

Red Rock Canyon NCA spans more than 195,000 acres and is visited by more than two million people each year for its world-class hiking, rock climbing and biking. The Cottonwood Valley Trail System is a network of trails located in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and provides opportunities to experience the best desert mountain biking in Southern Nevada.
