Rainbow Gardens is the colorful area surrounding Lava Butte to North Shore Drive. The colors come from coral and shell fossils, crystalline gypsum, quartz and other minerals. More of a beautiful nature walk with no trails, just quiet serenity.

Lake Mead is the largest manmade reservoir in the United States, spanning over 110 miles long in Nevada and Arizona. When Lake Mead is at its fullest, it boasts 759 miles of shoreline, is 532 feet deep, has 247 square miles of surface and 28 millions-acre feet of water. Three of America’s four desert ecosystems – the Mojave, the Great Basin, and the Sonoran Deserts meet in Lake Mead. Google Map
