Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest

Mount Charleston is year-round recreation area with beautiful snow-capped peaks that are surrounded by desert and is part of the Spring Mountain Range and Toiyabe National Forest. Activities include hiking, skiing and camping.

The Mount Charleston Wilderness Area consists of a total of 57,442 acres and has a wide variety of wildlife including Rocky Mountain Elk, Desert Bighorn Sheep and Mule Deer. It is also home to around 18,000 acres of Bristlecone Pine Trees which is the largest collection of these trees in the Intermountain Region of the United States.
