Location Sloan Canyon
Black Mountain is the highest point in the North McCullough Mountain Range ‘7,026 feet’ and is contained within the Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area. The North McCullough Range is volcanic in origin.
Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area was established in 2002 and encompasses 48,438 acres which provide peace and solitude for those who visit the unique scenic and geologic features and extraordinary cultural resources. Surroundings can vary from lowland dry lake beds to volcanic rock peaks reaching more than 5,000 feet.
